'Proxy'
'Proxy’ explores the multiple realities that are created by the mediation of the natural world, and of our own existence. Like with Jean Baudrillard's 'Precession of Simulacra', our original and authentic environment is copied, and then a copy is made of that copy, and in the end we only know, interact with and understand this copy, not the original. I wanted to put the viewer into an environment where they are forced to interact with the fragmented layers of reality, and see the distortion that mediation causes to our perception of our environment.
