‘Threads of Yesterday’: A Project for Leichhardt Council, 2011
A newspaper for Italians in Australia, ‘La Fiamma’ has maintained a strong relationship with the Leichhardt community. Translated as ‘The Flame’, the newspaper published news from Australia and abroad in both Italian and English. This design reflects the authentic and significant connection ‘La Fiamma’ has with the Leichhardt community and its role in preserving Italian language and culture. The tapestry represents the strands of rich and colourful stories that continue to be interpreted and entwined.
