An encounter of the familial through the discarded family matter
I primarily work within the sphere of printmaking. Most of my creative composition draws from, and engages with, experiences of the familial through an explorative artistic process. Working with reference material found within this realm, the nature of printmaking as a medium (constantly surprising through revelation) and insight into intuitive response, shape the foundation of my current practice. This particular work is a result of an encounter with a struggle to understand one's familial surroundings. The shapes and lines are marked out by remnants of discarded matter found in various family homes.
