SIXTEEN SEASONS is a reflective body of work drawn from an archive spanning five years. The series challenges audiences’ notions of memory and how the photographic image impacts and distorts the remembrance of our personal experiences. The ambiguity of the images results in a cognigitive dissonance, inviting the viewer to contemplate their memories and experiences, and how these are inherently intertwined with one another through the subconscious. Through their juxtaposition and muted colour palette, the images emanate a dream-like quality where the strange and unfamiliar scenery mesmerises audiences and ultimately leads them into a mysterious and highly personal alternate reality.
