WHAT LIES BENEATH (2010)
‘Subversive Botanics’ project, textile croquis designs. The project What Lies Beneath encapsulates an abstract vision of botanics, delving into the weird and the wonderful scope of microscopic beauty in flora. Unusual textures, shapes, colours and patterns have been recreated in a way that embraces the elements that are hidden from the natural eye. This design is a recreation of a microscopic view of a petal. Machine and hand sewn.
