Throughout time the public has had a deep attachment to the celebrity image and the stigma attached to these high profile individuals. The media portrays images of the celebrity, which give a false sense of perfection and beauty. With the growth in cosmetic procedures arising and the desire for individuals to be labeled as ‘perfect’ one can only question the role the media has played in influencing the rise in cosmetic surgeries. ‘Perfect’ is a series of nine images, depicting everyday people and their personal reflection on the effects the media has had on their own self image.
