Urban Cycle, Series 3 of 100, Inkjet Print 2012
‘Urban Cycle’ Is a series of 100 images which, follows a conceptual process of breaking down the urban brick. The brick used was collected from a particular development in Redfern. The process undertaken examines the Urban lifecycle and our relationship to the ongoing development within the built environment. We go through life, taking in our Surroundings, taking for granted the everyday things. Slowly life, objects, things - decay and erode. Then one day they are gone but we can’t always remember what was there or how it once was. Life is then replaced by something new. The cycle of the everyday transcends always forever moving, creating, adapting and changing.
