Imaginary Cities (2011)
One of 12 postcards created in response to the concept of real versus imagined cities, specifically in relation to New York City. The project focused on the myths and fantasies that characterise the Big Apple and the construction of these hyper realities through pop culture, travel guides and literature. A spacesuit woven from NYC travel guides and subway maps was constructed and worn as part of a series of sightseeing performances at iconic tourist locations around Manhattan, Brooklyn and Coney Island.
