Hair Series # 1
I am interested in documentation and experimentation of self and in how feelings at the present time influence my work. Through the process of making my final body of work titled Hair Series, I explored feelings of displacement with myself, my cultural heritage and with my body. The outcome was the beginning of this series, which is a performativity documentation of hiding myself with my hair, which evoked the feelings of wanting to keep hidden away, unidentified and reserved.
