La Magie - Documentation
La Magie uses mirroring to alter meaning to highlight dualities such as truth and illusion and the new and the old in the case of meaning and the footage itself. Mirroring creates a sense of wonderment in the audience and highlights the alteration of meaning but continues to pay homage to Méliès and the notion of illusions and trickery that is integral to his films and the artists he influenced.
