“A picture is worth a thousand words,” this famous adage tells us many things, as we generally assume pictures are limitless in expressing emotional qualities, delivering messages and stories, however, I believe that the true power of picture is revealed when the picture evokes the viewers’ accumulated past experience and memory. This nature proves why a single picture can give many meanings to different individuals. Thus I believe that it is a powerful communication tool, with its translucent, delicate voice it builds a memorable bond with audiences. I wish to further investigate this quality of picture, as a graphic artist by amalgamating it with other media, like art, music and objects marrying two-dimensional graphics with life, humanity and soul.
