Universal Connections
My work is concerned with the parallels between contemporary society and nature. By evoking a new emotional response, my aim is to create an aesthetic experience through the language of symbols and by engaging cross-disciplinary media. This work depicts the interaction between man and technology. The human figures in the foreground are dwarfed by vastness of the modern day communication network and stand in awe of it. The deep blue of the background coupled with orange swirls are redolent of the magnificent images of distant nebulae that have been transmitted back to earth by the Hubble telescope.
