This embroidery is an experiment testing the aesthetic result of existing models of collaboration between Australian Fashion Designers and Indian Artisans within the framework relational aesthetics in a hope to develop approaches to collaboration that sustain traditional Indian textile handicrafts positively reflecting traditional knowledge, fair trade and intellectual property.
