Forgiving and Forgiven I; Southern Ice porcelain, unglazed; 70 pieces on 82x64cm frame; 2011
My state of transcendence is the peacefulness of wholeheartedly forgiving and being forgiven. Inspired by my religious upbringing, this work consists of seventy angel wing tiles which originally measured seven by seven centimeters in their raw state. The change in size after firing represents the changes every one experiences going through life.
