SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW (2011)
Rug design from a range designed for Vaucluse House, Sydney as part of ‘Rug Up 2011’ project. Something Old, Something New incorporates historic design motifs derived from the Victorian and Art Nouveau inspired wallpapers, interior fabric designs and decorating evidenced in the internal and external parts of the house. Fused together with a contemporary colour scheme and the asymmetrical ideas of modern rug designs, this rug collection creates a link between past and present in terms of Vaucluse House, design history and contemporary culture. Hand drawn and painted.
